Because of this Funk was award the Nobel Prizes in 1929. Lunin Nikolai Ivanovich gave information about the vitamins present in the diet in 1881.
Dutch physician Christiaan Eijkmann was researching malnutrition-related diseases. During his revision, he came to know about the antineurotic vitamin i.e. thiamine, which means that thiamine i.e. vitamin B1 was first discovered in the world.
